This is a very beautiful, very popular location to go to while in Sedona so it is inevitable that there will be large crowds enjoying this area as well. There is a parking lot designated to Grasshopper Point goers but with the large herds of people, the parking availability fills up quickly. This is when the sides of the 89A highway running alongside Oak Creek start to fill up themselves with cars trying to squeeze into a parking space to make the voyage down the canyon to the water.
The path from the parking lot quickly leads right to the water and the cliff jumping spot where most people like to hang out. Journey up the creek and through the trees a little way and you are awed by an edge of flat, red rock that sit neatly beside the blue water. This area is also very popular and features a wooden swing perched from a tree hanging over the water, plenty of room to lay your towel down and tan, or a shorter, more comfortably heighted ledge one can jump from into water below.
Walk up the creek even more from this spot and you will be treated with more stunning views of the clear water, green trees, red rocks and seclusion. Activities include: Cliff jumping, picnicking, tanning, rope swing, nature viewing, hiking, snorkeling, swimming
